FAF 2025 returns to Fredrikstad, Norway with a full program celebrating the dynamic storytelling of global animation October 23-26.
redrikstad Animation Festival (FAF) is the leading animation event in the Nordic region with the aim of promoting and increasing the awareness of animated expressions in the Nordic-Baltic countries. One of the cornerstones of the festival is the Nordic-Baltic animated short film competition. The festival is a professional arena for the animation industry, as well as an important event for students and educational institutions within animation, graphic design, and digital media production.
Each year the event hosts top animation industry professionals who participate in seminars and lectures. This year’s theme, Shaping Stories, Reaching Audiences – Narrative Design in Animation, brings together leading voices from across Europe. Key sessions include the masterclass with director Thorbjørn Christoffersen; the AI and Animation Symposium; and a special Moomin celebration.
